Freemasonry is not a secret society, it is however often described as ‘a society with secrets’. Various aspects of freemasonry are considered private and the discovery process is an intrinsic part of progressing within masonry. For that reason there are agreements and caveats within masonry on what is written down or published.
This website carries a chartermark as it has been confirmed by the United Grand Lodge of England as conforming to the agreements and caveats on what can be written down or published. What is on the site is true and accurate but there is nothing on the site that would be considered inappropriate for publication.
However, the UGLE chartermark is not an endorsement of the site, any views or opinions expressed here are not necessarily those of the Province of Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire in particular, or Freemasonry in general.
